How Busy Dietitians Can Use a 15-Minute IG Routine to Book More Clients
===
[00:00:00] I'm going to be discussing how you can use a 15 minute Instagram routine to book more clients. Now, as a busy dietitian, you might be wondering how to make it all work, and you're struggling with perfectionism today. I'm giving you a checklist step by step, so let's get started.
You don't need to post daily to grow your business and make money online. You don't need a huge following either. Ask yourself, how did the dietitians before you grow their business and make money? Before they had a huge following, right?
You just need a plan that fits for your life right now, and it can evolve with time, step by step, [00:01:00] meaning whatever situation you have or season in your life, you gotta make the business work for you until you get to that next level. That next goal, if you're a dietitian, juggling sessions, charting, maybe bedtime routines, or another job like clinical.
This episode today is for you. I am gonna show you how a simple 15 minute Instagram routine can help you show up consistently, connect with potential clients, and actually book them, or maybe even sell digital products like that ebook that you've been dying to put out.
And eventually a membership, which I often hear is what many of you ultimately wanna sell. So what I'm explaining to you, it's not theory. It's what our clients here at dietitian Boss and inside of our membership program are doing. They're using the templates, we provide, formulas we give them and client case simulations that can apply to your everyday life, whether you're still in clinical or you're in private practice and [00:02:00] looking to improve and make sure that you feel confident and can retain your clients.
So the first step is to know exactly what to post before you open the app. That's the thing is that if we start mindlessly scrolling and we open the app without intention, that's how our plans go sideways. So Maria, one of our dietitians, choose to spend 45 minutes a day on Instagram, mostly scrolling, which is common.
I get it. We've all been there and she said, I didn't know what to say, so I just kept. Consuming content instead of creating content. So here at dietitian Boss, we gave her plug and play caption template and actual posts, templates for what she can post on Instagram for her specific niche, which is emotional eating.
And had her pick just two ideas to focus on two content pillars or topics to focus on. And they were specifically client education and boundaries in practice. And once she had a clear focus and a script to follow, she cut her Instagram time in half, Or [00:03:00] actually more than in half, from 45 minutes to 15 minutes.
And she was able to book two consults that month, which is really impressive. So I want you to think about picking two content categories. For example, the client education Boundaries and practice and write three posts using social media post templates, meaning you're going to use a post and recycle that same template possibly inside Canva over and over again.
Now we have 12 inside of our membership that you can use. 12. Different templates based on different niches like emotional eating, gut health, weight management, diabetes, et cetera. So you can just plug and play what we already have. Now the step two would be to use the five minute daily formula.
You don't need hours, you just need a plan. Now, here's the formula that we teach. Three minutes engaging and comments on your ideal client's posts, and then two minutes posting or schedule content using a template like the ones I just mentioned. So you're [00:04:00] gonna just repeat that same, design, meaning the template, but you're gonna add new content on that design.
And that keeps things systematized easy and avoids headaches. So as a case study, I wanna share with you, Devin, A-P-C-O-S focused dietitian did use this formula and she showed up four times a week and recycled old posts using our templates inside of our library membership. And she was able to book a $450 bundle from a single.
Direct message. Pretty impressive, right? The hardest part is consistency, right? Because we all want our post to be perfect, and we're afraid that our content is too repetitive or that we don't have unique ideas. But the truth is, we can't get better until we start putting our content out there regularly, even if it feels a little bit awkward.
So I want you to try this. I want you to set a timer. Open up the app and go three minutes for engaging and then set another timer, two minutes to post, and then you're done. Hop off the app and move on. a big reason a lot of [00:05:00] dietitians tell us that they're challenged by Instagram is because they're not following this.
They're going on social media, on Instagram specifically before they have a content idea, and they're getting sucked in. They're getting upset at some of the posts they're seeing. They're upset at some of the influencers out there that. Don't have credentials, and I understand all of that. But if you want Instagram to work, you have to focus on what you're doing, your message and your audience.
And the best way to do that is to be specific and intentional with the time you spend on the app and with the time you spend creating content. So the third step would be to turn engagement into booked calls, right? I'm talking sales calls, which are really helpful for you to build your sales skills and your confidence and learn more about what people want and need, whether you wanna continue doing one-on-one consults, or you decide that you want to create digital products like eBooks and memberships, right?
So really knowing what your client wants is important. You learn that from the sales calls, and this is where dietitians get stuck, right? You show up and you post, but then no one's booking a call and you're wondering what the heck's [00:06:00] going wrong. So here's the missing piece. That's your call to action, also called a CTA.
In marketing terms, it needs to be clear and repeated consistently. people need to be told something multiple times, then you'll actually be closer to that sale. So Jenna, one of our, clients who works with busy moms, she added that call to action that CTA. She said, for example, if you don't know what a CTA is, DM me moms for my free checklist or DM me moms to learn three meal habits that stick right?
You can, if you don't have a checklist, DM me moms for my free checklist and we tracked it and her dms increased four times that week. And two new clients came directly from that checklist, which is really impressive. So the more specific and clear you are with a call to action, again, telling someone what to do, to buy something or to do something specific that can help you get people closer to making that sale.
So inside of the library, that's our monthly membership. We give you [00:07:00] ready to use call to action so you don't have to sweat about what to say. We also give you templates for email marketing strategies, case scenarios to practice so you know how to reply to direct messages with confidence and clinical scenarios for assessments and follow-ups.
Additionally, we give you done for you posts. On Instagram. So whatever your niche is, we have 12 different specialties you can plug and play for up to four months worth of content. Now that's pretty impressive and we'll help you when you wanna customize them.
So you might be wondering, what do you do if you're still not booking, right? Sometimes we do all the right things and it still feels slow. Or sluggish, and that's when it can help to use our case study simulation system inside of the library, our monthly membership. So we have practice client conversations where you can get feedback on your offer and your pitch, and you can actually score yourself on real scenarios.
And you get my feedback too, whether you're submitting a question, [00:08:00] engaging in the forum, or showing up for the monthly live, coaching calls, right? So you're going to get feedback on your progress. And so that way when someone does direct message you or they book a discovery call. You know what to say and you're gonna feel prepared.
So if you want our 15 minute Instagram workflow, including scripts and captions and client responses, then send me a DM on Instagram with the word Instagram, and we'll get that over to you. I just want you to know that showing up online shouldn't burn you out if you do it intentionally, right?
The burnout happens when we're just mindlessly on the app, so going on Instagram should bring your business and it can, when you. showing up on Instagram should bring you business and it can when you have the right tools. So inside of the dietitian Boss Library, that's our monthly membership. We do give you done for you Instagram posts, plug and play content systems, client facing forms and templates, and regular and [00:09:00] new case studies with scoring.
And feedback opportunities. We also give you done for you sales pages, email sequences, website templates that you can plug into Kajabi if you use that. And we have done for you forms, assessment forms, feedback forms, food and mood journals, et cetera, that you can just plug and play into your EMR or just send over to your clients if you don't have an EMR.
We also have ebook templates that you can use and customize. We have hundreds of templates and done for you resources. So if you are ready. To spend less time guessing and more time growing. I would love for you to join us over at the library [email protected]. We will see you next time.
