There was a point where my husband was like, "You know what? I think that you need to hire someone to help you" and that's when Libby, you came along and you helped me build my Instagram because at the time that I started working with you I only had about 3,000 followers and I didn't really have a plan. I just kept posting cute pictures of food with no good caption and I just realized from taking your course and working with you that you need to have an audience, you need to have a purpose for making these posts. Just don't post a random meal. That's not going to do anything. I think that kind of really helped me as well.

Business has been a lot different now because I'm very clear about who my ideal client is. Thanks to you Libby. So now what I'm starting to do is to nurture these individuals.
So one of the things when I first started a business was I developed a product first because I thought you can't really have a business without a product. So I was thinking, well I know a lot of people are interested in meal plans. So I spent a lot of time and energy developing a standard meal plan with tons of really good recipes. But the thing was I didn't have anyone to market this meal plan to, I don't even know if people are interested in purchasing this meal plan if a meal plan is something these women need. So that's something that's changed a lot for me too, is really figuring out instead of, I did things backwards. So I developed a product and and thinking that everyone would love it because I loved it doesn't mean that everyone will love it.
So I did things a little bit backwards. So now, yes, I'm going back to the drawing board, but I think what I'm doing now is spending a lot of my time and effort figuring out exactly what I can do to help these women specifically. And it may not be a meal meal plan, it may be a meal plan, but I have to do that time and research no matter how long it takes to really figure out what they need.
We're not taught marketing school. We have the clinical cells, we know how to be a great dietitian, but we don't really always know how to be the best entrepreneur.
Before working with Libby… I didn't understand. It wasn't clear until I started working with Libby on how to build my online practice, with a specific niche.
And now I'm completely solely online and I have clients from the East Coast, Midwest, and the West coast and I absolutely love that. So it is, it's grown my practice significantly.
Instead of being a complete stay at home mom, I feel like I have the best of both worlds. I'm able to take my kids to school, I'm able to plan my online business around my kids' schedule. And working is pure joy for me. So it's given me the ability to work and find my passion, interact with clients and help them achieve a healthier version of themselves. Hard to put into words. I never actually thought I could be my own boss. So after graduating, I got a temporary job at a food bank and then jumped right into clinical after that. And just earlier today on the call with Libby, somebody in the group was saying
that she was trying to sort of get all of her ducks in a row and she's trying to get through
all these modules and she's just so anxious to just start and she wants to just start. And
Libby said, but why don't you just start, like, just get on a sales call. If you have
somebody who's interested, get on a sales call, and then you figure out what you're
going to do and what the exact specific offer is once you get them to sign.
So, that is a sort of roundabout way of saying that I have learned to
value myself, I have learned that making money feels good, that making money in
exchange for something that I like, I feel like I've earned it not just because I have all
this knowledge, but because I'm putting in the work and because of something of value.
So I've made at this point, I've signed so I've signed three to a group. So the group
program. And then I've signed three, one-on-one. So I have made all in it sort of
fluctuate because I'm seeing the one on ones actually weekly. So I've set a pricing
structure, which I never really had before, and I set it deliberately high for one on ones
because I wanted to sort of discourage people from doing one-on-ones. But I
surprisingly had people who were willing to pay it. So I've at this point so again with
three. So I made almost a thousand dollars from the group program clients. And then I
charge $350 for the initial evaluation with a 1:1 client and I charge $200 an hour after
that. And in my head I'm kind of like, why are you paying for this? You get so much
more value out of the group program and the reason that I do it is I set it up exactly that
way in my discovery call form, they have to click a thing that says, you know, it says my
group program began--My six week group program begins at $250. My one on one
sessions begin at $350 for the first and $200 for every hour after that. I am ready to
invest in my family's health.
When I started working with you, Libby, I think it was the beginning of 2019. I was about eight or nine K, which I was really happy with, but I knew I could do better. I knew I wanted to do better for the people I worked with. I learned a lot of important things in terms of honing in on your niche, understanding what the market is offering your niche and looking at what makes sense for you.

A big part of what I had to do was really figure out who my population is, who is my target audience, what problem I am trying to solve. That was a really big piece that I had to work on to get those opportunities. And a lot of that came from the group program, the Dietitian Boss group program. I would recommend Libby to people who need help starting their Instagram, re-branding or re-designing their account to reach their ideal client.
I guess my journey on social media started around a year ago. So initially I was just like, I want to start a nutrition Instagram.
My niche came relatively easy for me. I'm so happy I found Libby. Libby really talked to me about this whole idea of niching down. And I knew this girl really knows what she's talking about. I immediately had so much clarity.
I think at that point I had like 550 followers. I guess a little less than a year technically since I started that niche. Within months I hit 10,000 followers on Instagram. I landed a book deal, quit my job and now my goal this year is a 100K followers and a 100K income, which I think I'm almost there. I'm pretty close anyways, but that's definitely the goal for this year.
It's been awesome. And Libby was the catalyst to everything. I get like 90% of my clients from Instagram.
